About me: I'm Nicole and I'm the owner of melonburst.net. I'm a 16 year old, Chinese girl living in New York. I love web/graphic design and I've been designing since 2002. But off the computer, I enjoy writing and reading. Like a normal teenager, I also love hanging with my friends, talking on the phone for hours, and laughing. However, offline it takes me a while to open up to people, and I tend to be very quiet in uncomfortable situations. But, my shyness hasn't stopped me from making really great friends who I love to be around. =]
I'm a hard worker and I study a lot for school, which takes a lot of time away from other things.
In school, I write for multiple publications and I have designed various websites for different purposes. On the weekends, I'm glued to my cell phone, I'm always either talking to someone or texting a bunch of friends. I love vedging out on the weekends, and just hanging out by myself, listening to music, and doing whatever I feel like doing. In that way I could probably be described at quiet or reserved. But my actual personality? I'm shy, as I've already mentioned, but I'm really only shy in large groups of people or when I feel uncomfortable. My closer friends would probably describe me as talkative and silly. I love making jokes and having a good time with people. But I'm also a thoughtful, trustworthy, loyal friend. Although I suck at giving good advice, I'm a good listener and I'm always willing to listen to any problems that a friend may have. 
I love eating; eating is my life and I've wanted to be a food critic in some way forever. Even if I just start a website and write about the great restaurants I've been to around the country and world, I want to write about food in some way when I get a bit older. I love love love dark chocolate. I also like munching on anything sweet; cake, pie, ice cream, whatever. =P I have these huge goals and dreams for later. I want to go hot air ballooning and travel around Europe and eat all kinds of food. I want to get the best education that I can and use that later to get a job and support myself. Andddddd yeah. I listen to a really wide variety of music, I mostly like soft rock, rock, and alt rock. My favorite artists are Lifehouse and Five for Fighting, and I have a bunch of favorite songs, including: 100 years (Five for Fighting), The Scientist (Coldplay), Hanging by a Moment (Lifehouse), Afraid (Yellowcard), Shine (Anna Nalick), The Reason (Hoobastank), World (Five for Fighting), One (U2), Here- in your arms (Hellogoodbye) & so much more!
On the Big Screen
I love chick flicks and romantic comedies. My favorite movie is Music & Lyrics, but I also love a bunch of other movies including Finding Nemo, Mean Girls, Notting Hill, She's the Man, Say Anything, 27 Dresses, Along Came Polly, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Atonement & others. I watch some regular TV shows too- I'm addicted to House and Friends.
